The storyline of Lost is based upon true events, in which the struggle of a young crime reporter- Vidhi Sahini (Yami Gautam) is portrayed. While investigating her usual cases, she suddenly finds a missing case of Ishaan Bharti (Tushar Pandey) who is a young theatre activist. Untying the knots of Ishaan’s disappearance, the truth slowly unveils in the light of investigation.

 A girl named Ankita Chauhan (Pia Bajpai) who was also in a relationship with Ishaan, is now jockeying for an MLA’s seat. The trajectory made by Ankita for her career makes the situation shadier. Her involvement with an influential politician Ranjan Verman (Rahu Khanna) gives rise to many untold questions.

Lost movie star cast includes veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor, and talented Yami Gautam under the direction of Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, anyone can expect a treat to the eyes. But this time, you can sum up the ‘Lost’ movie as a half-baked cake. 

Aniruddha’s Pink in 2016 was a big sensation with Tapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan, it had fine detailing, editing, and storyline, everything was so well executed which gained appreciation from the audience and the critics.

The same expectation arises with the movie ‘Lost’, even though it is based on a true event, the movie isn’t able to create the magic. 

As Vidhi starts investigating the case of a missing theatre activist- Ishaan, she comes to know about his girlfriend, Ankita’s closeness with political leader Verman. In the first half, the story will make you think both Ankita and Verman are involved with Ishaan’s disappearance or maybe murder.

As Ankita is of high ambition and gets influenced by the politician Verman and tries to make her path to the MLA’s seat crystal clear. 

The first half of the story maintains a good momentum and engages the audience very well. Naxalite angle is also given to portray Ishaan as a rebel with radical thoughts which adds spice to the story. But the writing part shows the shortcomings which have not been able to cover up the flaws.

Lost movie star cast, Yami Gautam and Pankaj Kapoor were outstanding in their roles. Sharing a beautiful relationship between grandfather and granddaughter. After Vicky Donor, Yami Gautam got a movie where she can show her acting skills as a main lead character with full potential. As usual, she is convincing in her role. Loved to watch her as a crime reporter, who is doing her part with honesty even though life threats are always in her way. 

Shyamal Sengupta and Ritesh Shah penned the movie with some loose endings, the duo weren’t able to maintain the continuity and thrill as the pace picks up and drops down throughout the movie. In the end, many things remain unexplained and the viewer’s expectation of a fine and tight ending remains unsatisfied.
