Zee5 Kannada Web Series Window Seat Reviews

Window Seat is not a regular masala film, nor does it fall into the conventional love story. Instead, it tries to be edgy, gives you a thriller experience, and succeeds with counts.

Sheetal, who established herself in other fields before taking up her first directorial project, is slowly learning the craft. She understands basic filmmaking techniques and can handle the complexities of sensitive subjects and relationships with skill.

But the attempt to make people laugh during the investigation sequence is so bad it makes you cringe. A mystery laced with love, and mystery, similar to the Bollywood film The Girl on the train, does not make for easy viewing and requires patience to understand. However, it marks an unconventional effort in her impressive debut.

The film Window Seat starts with what appears to be a murder scene, after which the protagonist meets Raghu, a lonely singer who works under Anjali’s resort. Anjali, the owner of the resort, likes him, but Raghu falls in love with a mysterious girl he sees every day during his commute from the window seat of the train. When she sees him killed from the same window, she wants to help him but gets caught up in a story that leaves more questions than answers.

It revolves around love, life, and loss is surrounded by a melancholy atmosphere and takes time to create. However, the director Sheetal Shetty establishes the hero’s present and past and lets it progress with twists and turns. The investigation scene again drives the story forward when the plot seems to lose its grip. While the narrative enables us to understand the plight of some of the characters, ultimately, it leaves it up to the audience to decide whether they want to empathize with the protagonist’s plight.

Some best scenes in the film Window Seat do not have the protagonist, but the police officers play a beautiful role and try to help Raghu out. You can see a rough and tough cop who doesn’t care about anything and behaves brutally, unlike the top female police officers in Kannada films. The film also has some beautiful visuals that showcase the inner beauty of Karnataka, while the soundtrack is another big win. The music and background score set a rather catchy tone for the film.

Window Seat(ಜನಾರು ಸೀಟ್) takes its pace to unfold, and the story travels very fast as things begin to disentangle. The casting is almost perfect. Nirup Bhandari looks his best and plays a convincing portrayal of a role that requires him to display a range of emotions.

Amarutha Iyengar also shines, shows her love and limitations, and excels in emotional scenes. Another performer who has made a mark is Naidu as the cop, who is a great find and should get more roles after this. Suraj is entertaining as his sidekick from the comedy Khiladigalu. P Ravi Shankar revels in his Abdul Kalam lookalike in a cameo. Madhusudhan Rao also fits his respective role perfectly.
