In March 2020, everyone was cooped up in their homes and living a life they had never imagined. As a result, streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and others provided consumers with more high-quality material. One of the concerts, “Locke And Key,” was very well-liked by the audience.

We were taken on a trip with exceptional individuals in the first two seasons, which were really fantastic. Making sure that the tale ended on a high note and delighted the audience was a difficult task for the filmmakers. So, in the third and final season, did they succeed in doing that?

When a third and final season of a Netflix series is announced, the first and maybe most crucial concern one has is if the ending is indeed an ending or whether fans will be left on a torturous cliffhanger for the rest of their natural lives. In order to avoid repetition, I should say that Locke & Key Season 3 isn’t merely the most suspenseful and stirring episode yet. One of the greatest fantasy television seasons to be broadcast this year, Locke And Key Season 3 is a fitting conclusion to the popular series. Does the magic still exist in Locke and Key’s last season? It does for most of the last eight episodes! Even though the last season had two fewer episodes than the first two, it was a sensible choice.

The Review of Netflix Locke and Key Season 3

When it comes to storytelling, “Locke And Key” has always been renowned for pushing the envelope and providing something original. Yes, there have been instances where they tried something new and it didn’t work. However, for the most part, the tales they recounted were captivating and kept us interested. Similar to Season 2, Season 3 begins well but quickly loses its way once it reaches the halfway point.

The Locke family is attempting to return to normal in the third season, which begins nine months after Season 2’s end. While getting ready for their uncle Duncan’s (Aaron Ashmore) wedding, Kinsey (Emilia Jones) and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott) are still living at the Key House with their mother Nina (Darby Stanchfield).

Despite the fact that they are enjoying their lives, Tyler causes a lot of anxiety (Connor Jessup). He no longer communicates with the Locke family and is currently attempting to avoid them.

There was a key for practically every situation, including the iconic Timeshift Key from the last season as well as the Anywhere, Mirror, Ghost, Music Box, Omega, and Plant keys (among many more).

The keys played a significant role for each and every Locke, but do they still belong to them, or do they get taken by a demonic spirit? More episodes would have made the middle of the series seem more “filler,” which would have diminished the overall quality of the program.

Additionally, the third season of Locke and Key doesn’t drag on as much as the previous two seasons did since some episodes are relatively brief (only a little over half an hour).

Locke and Key season 3: Although the third season is not as magical as the first two, it still has a closing act that will leave many viewers feeling very moved. The last season is all about the correct landing, and I, as a show fan, wanted the show to be a bit better at narrative.

Netflix Series Season 3 Conclusion

Apart from magic, the Netflix series has always been about family, so it seems sensible that the last episode will emphasize family issues more than magic. Jackson Robert Scott once again turns in an outstanding performance, and the acting is superb.

Kinsey, played by Emilia Jones, has grown up considerably and serves as the family member who works to maintain harmony. Jones is extraordinary. Darby Stanchfield, on the other hand, is still a force to be reckoned with.

But considering how this season has ended, it’s wonderful to hear the symbolic key finally click into the lock and realize that Locke & Key has received the fitting conclusion. If you’ve been a fan of the series, the closing credits will make you cry. But when you reflect on it hours later, you could realize that there was room for improvement.
