The show starts out with four murders. In a South Delhi home, two elderly couples are killed with a bludgeon. The housemaid finds their bruised bodies the next day. Action is taken by DCP Vartika Chaturvedi and her team. Instead of a traditional murder mystery, what happens next is a tedious and compelling grind that is occasionally halted by setbacks and dead ends.
Although the main factors at play are primarily the same as before, Delhi Criminal Season 2 is a five-part cop show that never lets go of the viewers.
Delhi Crime 2: The main subject of the first season was a horrifying incident that rocked Delhi to its very core. As they attempt to strike a balance between professionalism and personal life, the investigating cops from Season 1 are highlighted in this part too.
With the exception of the alterations in the professional and personal lives of the policemen who work to keep Delhi secure, the most recent season stands alone from the previous one. In season 2, they face a race against time to find the Kachcha Baniyan gang, a real-life Indian criminal organization that targets affluent residences and robs & kills anyone who opposes.
The six-episode series, directed by Tanuj Chopra, is based on real-life incidents and explores more complex topics like status, caste, and discrimination that persist even among the most highly educated and “upward” parts of society.
Delhi Crime Season 3 Update- Makers To Confirms The Script Soon
After the success of Season 2, makers are planning to launch Season 3 soon. As per a recent update, the script is about to finalise and that eventually will follow the start of the shoot. Shefali Shah will yet again take on her role though there might be a few add-ons in the cast.
Delhi Crime 2 was a trending show on Netflix that grabbed highest number of views for the platform.
Delhi Crime 2 Review- Tillotama Shome Work Shine On
While looking into the 2012 Delhi gangrape case, “Madam Sir” Vartika (Shefali Shah) won everyone else over with her compassion and boss lady attitude. The character of Vartika is played much better in this season by Shefali Shah. What consistently sticks out in Shah’s portrayal is the restraint she displays, frequently letting only her eyes communicate. She emanates the confidence and compassion that a senior police official should.
Rasika Dugal does a fantastic job as Neeti, a young ACP juggling her personal and professional lives. Of all the police officers we encounter in Delhi Crime, she is definitely the most realistic. Given the strain she faces, her idealistic beliefs may have started to show a few little cracks, but Neeti will never give up on her thoughts or her good deeds.
Rajesh Tailang exemplifies how a man may accomplish a task while maintaining a calm, composed attitude. He is a typical Indian common man who worries about his daughter’s upcoming marriage. However, Tailang occasionally inspires you to desire to comprehend him outside of his patriarchal limitations.
In the last episodes, Tillotama Shome, who plays Latika, a member of the Kachcha Baniyan gang, demonstrates unrivaled skill. She is a genius at capturing the nuances of emotion, whether it is in the roles of Ratna in Sir (2018), Latika in this series of Delhi Crime, or Alice in Monsoon Wedding, which was released in 2001.
It’s fascinating to observe that each character is a member of a particular class and has ambitions that go beyond what is ‘acceptable’ for their position in society.
Delhi Crime 2 left us without a conclusion of the story and hence we will have to wait for an official announcement for Delhi Crime Season 3 to find an end.
