Varun Dhawan to collaborate with Russo brothers for Citadel:
Varun is a well-known Bollywood actor whose new movie 2022 Bhediya is presently running well in theaters. Prime Video announced on social media that the actor will be playing the lead role in a new spy web series that will be an Indian Installment of the citadel.
Dhawan will make his digital debut through a web series on Prime Video. It will be created by Raj and D.K, the creators of The Family Man. The web series will be produced by the Russo Brothers.
According to the sources, this web series will be part of the Russo Brother’s spy universe. It will be made in various languages like Indian and international languages. This is part of the original universe.
In a post posted by Varun and Prime Video, filming of the web series will begin in January 2023. The series will be directed from a screenplay that will be co-written by Sita R. Menon.

“ The Citadel universe will connect from the Russo Brother’s AGBO which is a truly imaginative and aspiring perspective to the narrative and our most exciting part is to begin production on the Indian Chapter.”
Furthermore, as part of this project, they aim to produce local and original content that can be enjoyed by audiences around the world.
The actor has said that this is a landmark moment in his career and looked forward to an amazing future.
The series will be created by Raj & DK who will serve as executive producers through their production company D2R Films. The series is not intended to be the original series. In this Indian original series, D2R Films and Amazon Studios will produce an entirely new series.
Also produced by AGBO’s Anthony Russo, Job Russo, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot and others are overseeing production on all of the episodes.
