The Hush Hush Web series is a Prime Video original that was dropped and is one more addition to the female-centric drama. With a fabulous star cast that includes Kritika Kamra, Soha Ali Khan, Karishma Tanna, and Ayesha Jhulka it has grabbed the spotlight and appears to be one of the largest female-led Indian series. 90’s sensation and the gorgeous Juhi Chawla are also debuting in the world of OTT through Hush-Hush.

Especially female actors who have been empowered a lot in that sense and who only got roles in mainstream entertainment based on their age and body type. Prime Video Women-Centric Hush Hush Web Series Review

Hush-Hush is a female-centric Indian crime mystery thriller with 7 episodes in total with a runtime of 35 to 50 minutes each.

With a very strong star cast, the series lacks the basic instinctive genre that it promised making it a below-average one. The slow narration, less engaging graphics, poor cinematography, and screenplay in the first four episodes especially are totally below the belt. The last 3 episodes take you on a gripping Saga but the weak climax ruins it all.

The character development was unembellished and the dialogues were customary and lacked variety making it unrelieved. The show goes in flashbacks at times showing the back story of the characters which felt tedious at one or the other point. The presentation of the story, especially of Kritika Kamra, could have been better as it had a great twist at the end but the makers left that scope from utilizing it in a better way.

Ayesha Jhulka is back on screen after a few years’ break and the screen space she got has been utilized well by her, Karishma Tanna acted well as an inspector. Juhi Chawla is always par excellence with her timing and has proved herself yet again. Kritika Kamra on the other side has given a lot more to the industry and is now a well-established actor but the dull personality of her character was totally overrated as compared to the trailer. Soha Ali Khan has also made a comeback after a slight pause and she has slightly improved herself and given a decent performance.

The BGM was good and will give you a good watch quality. With such a phenomenal star cast the makers could have done a bit more as there was a huge scope for improvement. The series gives an open ending with a drop of a hint for season 2 but season 1 has totally unestablished itself and cannot come in the category of a much-awaited one.

The plot arrangement was strong though but the substandard execution led to it being unfavorable for the makers. If you have already watched a crime thriller, hush-hush has nothing new to offer.
