Vicky kaushal, kiara Advani and bhumi pednekar starrer film ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ is all set to premiere on Disney Hotstar on 16th December 2022. Hence the OTT giant is logging for two big Bollywood releases in the last month of the year. Kartik Aryan starrer Freddy is also set to release on this streaming platform in the same month though the exact release date hasn’t been revealed yet. Kartik will be opposite Alaya F. in Freddy .

Reportedly the OTT rights of the film have been sold for 62 crores and will directly have a digital premiere. Though the theater graph of bhumi Pednekar, Kiara Advani, and Vicky Kaushal is great,  but the makers planned to direct it on streaming platforms. 

Lately, Laal Singh Chaddha, Rakshabandhan, and Double XL have not made good numbers at the box office even though it is from a well-reputed banner, directors, and star cast. Hence, the b-town industry is preferring for the digital debut instead to cope with the loss and shorten the expectations. 

The satellite rights of the movie have been valued at 20 crores and the digital rights for 42 crores cost Hotstar 62 crores in all.
