1- Jhund

Nagraj Popatrao Manjule’s new film, ‘Jhund,’ is based on the inspiring true tale of Nagpur-based Vijay Barse, who created Slum Soccer, an NGO that works tirelessly with slum children. Because of his personal history, which he employs so genuinely in his work, you’d assume Manjule would be the best person to ace this type of picture.

He is the director of two of the most deeply impacting films on tight caste boundaries and inhuman social mores, ‘Fandry’ and ‘Sairat.’ The movie starring Big B is worth watching, with a running time of 2hr 55 minutes, and will be streaming on ZEE5 On May 6.

2- Thar

Thar is a movie set in the 1980s that tells the narrative of antique merchant Siddharth and is inspired by Western and noir genres (Harsh Vardhan Kapoor).
Siddharth goes for a job in Pushkar, a secluded village in Rajasthan that has recently been shaken by a series of brutal killings, and sets off on a quest to avenge his past.
Surekha Singh, an officer, collides with Siddharth while investigating the murders. Is Siddharth going to succeed in the mission, or does Pushkar have something better in Plan for him? The movie will be released on Netflix on May 6, 2022.

3- The Takedown

François Monge (Laurent Lafitte) and Ousmane Diakité (Omar Sy) are two police officers with vastly different perspectives, backgrounds, and occupations. The strange trio reunites for a fresh case that takes them all around France. What appears to be an ordinary narcotics deal quickly escalates into a large-scale criminal investigation rife with danger and unexpected comedy. After a decade apart, two mismatched cops are reunited to investigate a murder in a divided French community, where a deeper plan looms. The movie is releasing on May 6 only on Netflix India.

4- Saani Kaayidham

Tuesday saw the premiere of the teaser for Keerthy Suresh’s upcoming Tamil vengeance drama Saani Kaayidham. Arun Matheswaran’s film also features actor-filmmaker Selvaraghavan in a pivotal role. According to the trailer, the film is not for the faint of heart, and it stars Keerthy in what is perhaps her most violent performance to date. Tamil movie will be released on Amazon Prime Video on May 6 the very first day of May 2022.

5- The Matrix Resurrections

From May 6, The Matrix Resurrections, the fourth installment in the popular Matrix film trilogy, will be available on Amazon Prime Video in India. The Matrix Resurrections, starring Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, premiered in theatres across the country on December 22, 2021, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It was also available on HBO Max on day one in the United States. With its Indian OTT premiere, Prime Video is adding two more dubs to The Matrix Resurrections: Malayalam and Kannada.
On Thursday, the date for the digital release of The Matrix Resurrections was announced on Prime Video’s social media channels.

6- 12 Mighty Orphans

The historical drama picture, set during the Great Depression, will be released on Netflix on May 1. The film, directed by Ty Roberts, depicts the true story of the Mighty Mites, a Fort Worth orphanage football team that progressed from playing without shoes or even football to winning Texas state titles. They had an incredible underdog to champion journey throughout the years, which drew the attention of former US President Franklin D Roosevelt.
Rusty Russell, a high school coach who gave up his privileged position to teach and coach at the orphanage, was the driving force behind their success. Luke Wilson, Robert Duvall, Jake Austin Walker, Wayne Knight, Martin Sheen, and Vinessa Shaw all had prominent roles in the film.

7- Radhey Shyam
