A flight has started flowing from Dubai to Cochin but there seems to be a problem before the landing, the flight though lands well but soon the Pilots get summoned. The Pilots were Captain Vikrant (Ajay Devgan) and his co-pilot Tanya (Rakul Preet).

Because of the bad weather conditions in Cochin, the landing Pilots were on an emergency landing where many hurdles have been faced by them too, and as a result, they had to take many decisions going out of the way as the weather condition was poor, there was a scarcity of fuel, everything added a flavor in the decision of the pilots. The movie is based on a tragic incident that took place in August 2015 where a flight from Doha to Dubai had a crash landing as a result of poor visibility which took the lives of several passengers.

Review of The Outstanding Movie Runway 34

Based on a real-life incident this movie (Runway 34) has been released on OTT. Ajay Devgan is the director, producer, and lead as well. The first half of the movie is fast and engaging but the second half seems slow because of all the thrill, tension, and excitement that has been showcased in the first half and the second half has the courtroom scene and drama. Though the movie has a run time of about 2 and a half hours you will nowhere be bored for sure. The landing scene gives a new thrill in the movie and till the interval the drama engages the audience so well that it just passes in a blink.

Runway 34, inspired by the Hollywood movie ‘Sully’ story is by Sandeep Kevlani along with the screenplay and dialogue. The story seems very interesting especially since the flight scene was phenomenally engrossing and keeps you on the edge of your seat, the points surely go to its first pace brilliant screenplay. The audience can miss the same thrill in the second half which cannot be witnessed in the courtroom drama and feel dull at points. The point where pilot Vikrant can be proved innocent was not being played up and exposed as a strong witness the argument of the court is not hyped with strong points all the weak writing in the second half is depicted clearly.

The use of Technical words is much at the point to be understood by the mediocre audience. The actors were brilliant. Ajay Devgan has surely got into the skin of the character and looks brilliant in the attire of a pilot. Amitabh Bachchan has been a part of the second half of the film and has left his impression for sure as a lawyer he was excellent with the dialogue delivery.  All the other actors definitely got their moves. Boman Irani’s character seems cornered a bit as an airline owner though.

Runway 34 overall is a class-appealing film for sure with rich visual effects and has to be seen if you are a fan of real-life thrillers.
