Teen Age Drama Royalty/ Royalteen Movie Story, Plot, And Review
Netflix is ready with one more romantic teen movie named Royalteen. The movie is directed by Emilie Beck and Per-Olav Sørensen, and it is all about dramatic teen romance. This movie features Prince Karl Johan (Mathias Storhøi) and Lena (Ines Høysæter Asserson) as they navigate the intricate globe of love and class contrast.
The core idea behind Royalteen is the developing attraction between the main character Lena and future king Karl Johan, a wealthy socialite from the thriving media industry.
Netflix Romantic Royalteen Movie Plot And Story
The two main characters come from quite separate worlds and have distinct personas, frequently resulting in underlying tension.
Karl enters the classroom, immediately grabbing everyone’s interest. He enters and sits next to Lena, a new student. They start talking, and it quickly turns into something amusing and cheerful. There is a palpable sense of romantic anticipation.
Netflix Royalteen Movie Review
Royalteen begins right in the middle of a continuing story in Lena’s life. As the story opens, you are taken back and forced to search for the puzzle’s missing pieces. The drama is hard to watch as it fumbles to explain what is happening, much like our teen with a horrible history.
However, it’s crucial to remember that this is an adolescent film where issues are quickly resolved, and difficulties in real life are few. If only things were this simple and pleasant, it would be nice to genuinely escape the awful realities of our existence and get lost in their perfection.

Royalteen seems strangely hurried while also being slow. It’s a weirdly rewarding experience to observe something so bizarre. Despite its odd beginning, the movie is enjoyable to watch on a lazy day because it doesn’t contain anything profound or thought-provoking. It’s an aristocratic love story, similar to the prince and the Pauper, and it’s the ideal way to lose yourself for a while and take pleasure in a moment when everything almost seems conceivable.
Despite her uncomfortable and reckless behavior, Lena appears to be a fascinating character; her dark past has contributed to an underlining mental health problem. Lena is portrayed as a gentle, kind woman, yet evidence from her history suggests otherwise. More of her personality emerges as the film goes on, defining who she is as a person. As she acknowledges who she is and made peace with that person, you do feel some form of real empathy, even if it’s just a tad.
Ines Hysaeter Asserson gives a dynamic performance on her part and comes off as a likable and charming person. She is a youngster with many contradictory emotions, which is to be expected considering the conditions. You can sense all her challenging emotions, including her joy and grief. Despite the glaringly obvious twist, it’s enjoyable to watch her.
Royalteen Movie Conclusion
However, the conclusion is unclear and winds down without much clarification. It seems as though the writers were forced to leave the audience hanging in order to return to the tale in part two. Such an unusual and jarring finale is difficult to understand. This isn’t suspense, so I can’t exactly sit here wondering who attacked whom and why!
