Rocket Gang film Review: The film features five friends— Amarbir, Tania, Sahib, Pia, and Binoy alias Bunnu, who decide to take a holiday after being offered a free stay at the ‘Wonder Villa’. However, as soon as they arrive, weird stuff begins to ruin their lives miserably. Will they be able to determine if the mansion is haunted or whether something else is to blame?

Being so young and locked behind the walls of an abandoned mansion must have seemed like a true tragedy. When a group of carefree adults—Amar, Tania, Bunnu, Pia, and Sahib—knock on the doors of a huge commercial property, they are invited in by a group of youngsters. As it goes forth, the villa has a ghostly presence, and the backstory surrounds these newest visitors. Bosco Martis and Caesar Gonsalves, a well-respected choreographing pair, always have shown their A-game to Bollywood when it involves making movie stars dance to their beat.

With a sizable number of dancers venturing into cinema direction and succeeding, our expectations for Bosco were understandably high. While he has cast the perfect youngsters for his debut, the narrative itself is fraught with flaws. Clearly, the newbie has been greatly affected by previous films in the comedy-horror/dance-drama genre, both worldwide and produced by his peers. 

But, although melodrama coupled with a love of dancing might just have thrived for others, it doesn’t work here. For the audience to be persuaded on the notion of five kids returning to live again for their wonderful moms, the facts, namely a convincing back narrative, must first be laid forth. The flashbacks in Rocket Gang offer merely the bare minimum.

The primary pair, Aditya Seal and Nikita Dutta, have a charming connection, but their love story has not been pushed beyond a certain point. Jason Tham, who plays the team clown Bunnu, is a joy to see. Sahaj and Mokshda are endearing in their brief but significant roles. The standouts of the picture, though, are, of course, the children. Everyone is charming as small ghosts, from Tejas, Aadvik, and Siddhant to Jayshree and Dipali, and their excitement throughout the dancing sequences is tangible.

Rocket Gang had a mixed reaction from reviewers. “Rocket Gang Movie Review: Bosco’s debut picture is a wonderful combination of dance and comedy with a hint of terror,” said the Times of India. Meanwhile, India Today described the film as “a bland horror comedy with an emotional climax.” Bollywood Bubble, on the other side, stated that “Aditya Seal starrer has no horror, no comedy, but dance is its only saving grace.” It’s a lousy film that will attract its intended teenage demographic. It emphasizes the importance of having ambitions and how moms can be excellent examples of motivation and support in pursuing those dreams.

Rocket Gang might have been a great horror-comedy for youngsters to watch over the holiday, but the drama detracts from the entire program. This rocket takes off quickly, only to explode and burn later.
