In 1984 Indira Gandhi, then Prime Minister was shot dead by her 2 Sikh bodyguards. The furor was sparked up by this incident. The misdeed of two people put the whole community at high risk. In this minefield, Jogi and his three friends stood together with their people. Unwrap the whole friction only on Netflix from today.

Review of Jogi Movie Based on 1984 Sikh Community

Jogi is a true event-based movie. Our country’s political history holds a dark past which was unveiled by this movie.

In 1984 when PM Indira Gandhi was assassinated, the aftermath was horrifying. The capital was burning like hell and so was the country. Innocent people of the Sikh community were targeted very badly. This heart-wrenching situation is briefly picturized in the film Jogi. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar and Diljit Dosanjh in the titular role this movie will surely roll your tears down.

Coming to the star cast, all the actors are outstanding in their roles whether it is Amyra Dastur, Hiten Tejwani, Neelu Kohli, or Kumud Mishra. Diljit Dosanjh has shown almost all the shades of his acting in this one. He can make you roll down on the floor laughing with his humor in Good News and again he can leave you with misty eyes with his performance in ‘Punjab 1984’.

Director Ali Abbas Zafar- of Sultan Frame shared his emotion in an interview “Jogi is a very special film to me and who better than Diljit to helm the role of ‘Jogi’! As it’s a global release through Netflix makers are happy to reach maximum viewers with high expectations from the movie. Jogi comes up with a sensitive issue. It will be an air blower to many peoples’ diminished memory. Years have passed but the pain inside the heart is fresh for those who have lost their near and dear ones. We hope that the movie is successful without hurting anybody’s sentiments.
