India Lockdown Film Review And Movie Plot

Madhur Bhandarkar directed the movie Babli Bouncer in 2022. Previously, he produced the Bengali movie Avijatrik. He is a national award-winning filmmaker.

The film follows four families and the effect of the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The first story revolves around Mr. Rao (Prakash Belwadi) is an elder disciplined man who struggles in households due to other members’ decision to dismiss household work due to the pandemic the household worker’s life (Sai Tamhankar) has affected most during the lockdown. 

Due to a lack of money and food, her husband (Prateik Babbar) and other family members decided to walk back to the village. 

Another story follows in a brothel where Mehrunissa (Shweta Basu Prasad) was also affected due to the lockdown and the last story follows a middle-aged woman (Aahana Kumra) who tries to spend time with her young neighbor.

In his usual manner, Madhur Bhandarkar has impressed his audience with his direction in the film. Actor Prakash Belawedi has impressed well with his acting skills, and Shweta Basu Prasad also did well. Also, Aahana Kumra has done a good job as always, and Sai Tamhankar has also done a nice job as a household worker. Meanwhile, Prateik Babbar has explored more Bihar characters.
