Episode 4 centers on the rise of the new King of the Narrow Sea. The Narrow Sea gets a new king, which means Daemon Targaryen (Smith) will have to execute vicious and cunning plans. While Princess Rhaenyre ( Mully Alcock) finds a suitor for herself who is neither better than her father nor a boy who is yet to hit puberty.

She was again unsuccessful in finding herself a match that would make her stronger in her family position and continues her position on the Iron Throne, she finds a tight spot as King Viscery’s ( Paddy Considine) council continues to push the idea of her marriage to Laenor Velaryon ( John Macmillan).

Hotstar Original House of Dragons Detailed Review

We also see Daemon making a powerful return to King’s Landing riding with his dragon and as he makes his way to meet the King, The Prince proudly wears a crown, stating that it was the people who called him the “ King of the Narrow Sea” after his victory over the Crabfeeder.

As we have seen before, the Daemon version of the man doesn’t forget to put on a spectacle for everyone. He not only bends the knee before his brother but also shares a hug after he returns safely. This demonstrates that there will be no bloodshed between the three brothers.

Little of what is shown in this episode occurred in the book. It was a GOT (Game of Thrones) level drama that became more scandalous. As the episode does not need to add some shocking facts to the show by adding bloodshed. The ending of the episode was equally mind-blowing and maybe the true game begins from here.

The big players of this episode are Rhaenyra ( Alcock), Daemon ( Matt Smith), and King Viscerys ( Considine), and the three Targaryens promise to shock you in ways you have never seen before.

Throughout this episode, we see a different side of Queen Alicent Hightower ( Emily Carey) that struggles with her role as Viscerys’ heir-deliverer. The conversation with Rhaenyra and Carey beautifully explains how Lady Alicent has lost her title as Queen Alicent. Somewhere Carey lies lifeless while being a dutiful wife to Viscerys.
