The Knives Out (2019) is the story of Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer), a writer who celebrated his 85th birthday at his mansion in Massachusetts. The next day his housekeeper was found dead in the morning. Everyone believed it was suicide, but someone hired a private detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig).

Glass Onion A Knives Out Mystery

The screenplay of the ott films is quite good and effective. There are some flaws in the script but that is forgivable due to some other things.

The performances of the actors like Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc. He is charming only his performance as a detective is flawless from the previous film Knives Out. He’s looking like a detective who has eyes on everything and everywhere.

Edward Norton as Miles Bron was quite good. The rich were bored from the lockdown and wanted to spend time with their friends and his reaction was clueless about the murder and the situation, which was realistic acting.

Kate Hudson as Bardie Jay is a supermodel turned fashion designer who looks like a cheerleader in the films. Her glamorous side suits her character as a supermodel turned fashion designer.

Kathyrn Hahn as Claire Dells, the governor of Connecticut. Her character was quite dependable. Dave Bautista as Duke Cody is great. Other actors have portrayed their characters as well.

Ryan Johnson has done an excellent job in directing this movie, and the story is delightful, which is taking this franchise in the right direction. 

There are a few connections between the sequel and the 2019 film. Despite the fact that the star cast of this film is quite talented, they are not attracted to it. The cinematography is excellent, especially in capturing the scenery of the island. 

The camera work captures every moment in the film from the island to every moment up to the climax scene. In the film, there was a well-crafted and reasonable climax. 

The background music in the movie mixed up the great detective thriller and was engaging well in building more tension which is curious about what happened next, who is the killer, and why. 

A light sense of humor from the actors, especially Dave Barista, lightens the tension mood with light comic elements. In a thriller suspense film, suspense is required.

This is a great binge-watch if you enjoy detective movies like Glass Onion: Knives Out Mystery on Netflix.

In a sequel movie, there are some differences between the first 1 part and the 2nd. The first difference in the timeline is that the first part was set in 2018-19, while this movie is set during the pandemic.

The story was great in the 1st part where the writer who writes a mystery genre book series and after his birthday he was found dead which is a thrilling mystery writer died mysteriously. In the 2nd part, the group second part, the group of friends mysteriously invited a detective to investigate the journey of one of the friends who mysteriously died.
