The show was kind of successful but hated too on the same parameter as it only and only centered around sex which looked unneeded in the plot several times. The boldness of the story cannot be raised by sex stuffing there has to be some pleasing storyline.

The story of the second season gave an open ending to the series making a clear way for season 3 and very soon the makers too confirmed that the season 3 filming has already begun. The fans were escalated, I mean what’s better than binging on season 2 you get an update regarding the next season?

The show stars four girls, Siddhi(Maanvi Gagroo), Damini(Sayani Gupta), Anjana (Kirti Kulhari), and Samara (Lisa Ray)  showcasing the journey of those who are done with their lives and their traumas.

The second season ends with the demise of Siddhi’s father and she is in grief. Damini on the other hand had her miscarriage. Anjana is juggling between her ex and present life partner and Samara is on making her own identity and wants to establish her gym. Season 3 starts on the same note as season 2 ended. The show was purely women-centric and the sense has been kept alive in this season as well. 

Four girls living on their own with lavishness all around which include Sprinkles of problems at points that are only about boys and men in their life, decision making, and exploring their relationships. All four have a connecting point which is a Bar Damini had had sex already with the bartender but she keeps pushing him away after her miscarriage when she was pregnant with someone else’s child.

The makers surely try to have some influence from sex and the city but that was an Elite show and Four More Shots Please, is no way around the corner to match the level and can only be a cheap replica of it as the audience fails to connect with the characters emotionally and can invest. 

Season 3 is filled with the same light and tone and has nothing new to carry forward the story in an unequivocal way. It has nothing to offer the audience except to paint a translucent picture of feminism.

There are not many movies or web shows that orient women as the lead. Four More Shots Please is one of those women-centric shows which have made the audacity to choose this as a plot and basic subplot in the time when OTT was not as preferable as it is now.

It talks about the choices of women, the rejections they face, balance and unbalances towards life, going through which women survive on a daily basis. The whole idea has been kept forward in a subtle way. The main reason for the show being loved was this, the whole concept. 

Channelizing professional and personal life for women is not easy, especially in the Indian culture, where we don’t know segregate responsibilities between the man and women and focus rather on putting a burden either on men or on women, which ends up pissing the whole thing off Or brushing the entire thing beneath the carpet. The show talks about the same notch topics not leaving the feminist plot behind is the most pragmatic thing to do as far as a show is concerned. 

Conclusion

The cast overall has been phenomenal as all four leading ladies are already versatile actors with plenty of shows in bags. The credit for actors, emotions, and accents goes clearly to the directors, Sayani Gupta and Kirti Kulkarni being flawless actresses who looked pretentious on screen. They carried their plot really well but the director really failed to take out the best. The Production quality of Amazon Prime is commendable though.

Feminism is all about empowering women. Painting a fake scenario on the screen won’t give you the limelight for long. The production quality, screenplay, climax, and cast were satisfactory but the trial to achieve the fake English plot for the audience has ruined it all.
