Actor David Strathairn has given an amazing performance with an edgy touch to the character of team leader, Dr. Lee Rosen, who is a psychiatrist and neurologist. In contrast, he is renowned for his untidy lawn and choice of herbal solutions and vinyl records.

Rosen manages and counsels a motley crew that divides neatly along familial lines. The stoic father figure is an F.B.I. agent who gets extraordinary strength when provoked, while the sensual mother is a lady with a dark background and improper clothing who can convince anyone by looking into her eyes.

The grown children are a repressed lady with superpowers and an autistic guy who can see magnetic fields floating in the air, allowing him to check Google Maps in his thoughts while pursuing a suspect. The hunky, injured uncle with a good mix, or something like that, joins the crew towards the conclusion of the pilot.

The most entertaining aspect of the pilot is Mr. Cartwright’s acting, in which he performs the same manic, arm thing here that he did as the annoying intern Mr. Nigel-Murray on “Bones.” He gets the finest lines and makes them count as a high-maintenance autistic wunderkind.

Mr. Strathairn is also entertaining to watch in a part that is less bunched up than normal for him. Even when clichés proliferate, deviations to the standard good-versus-evil situation arise on occasion.

The show has elements of mystery but also some comedy, and this is why it will be engaging to watch. Also, since it is dubbed in Hindi, the fans who have already watched the English version of the show, would perhaps laugh at the translated dialogues.
