Ghoomer Movie Story

The movie revolves around a girl Anina (Saiyami Kher) who loves to play cricket and performs really well. Her aim is to be a part of the Indian cricket team. Anina in fact gets shortlisted but one accident changes her whole life. She loses her hand in that tragedy. 

An ex-cricketer Padam Singh Sodhi (Abhishek Bachchan) then gets to meet her and tries to bring a transformation in her life inspiring to work on her dreams again. Anina’s batting is really good but Padam is a bowler. The way he treats her and makes her realize the strength is commendable. 

A Bollywood Sports Movie That Brings Out Inspiration

The story and screenplay is engaging and maintains your interest throughout. The fast paced story won’t let you think for a moment and helps to connect with the story in a better way as the drama unfolds. It starts a very heartfelt story initially and after the accident of Anina takes place the makers make sure that the story don’t turn gloomy or dull in any way, keeping up the inspiration. The comic timing is superbly maintained. 

The climax showcases a fantabulous cricket match and fills you with grace as if you are the part of crowd. The jokes in the film are very class appealing and all three writers have worked to delivery beauty in this whole film. 

Abhishek Bachchan as Padam Singh Sodhi has acted quite well and this can clearly be told as one of his best performances all throughout, getting evolved into the character has truly made him bring the best out of him. Sayami Kher as Anina look so natural on screen, she has given her 100%. Besides Shabana Azmi who is portraying the role of anina’s grandmother is very subtle and outstanding. Angad Bedi is endearing and I has done a fine job. The lead actors in the film were not the only ones who were quite well but the seasoned actors lent brilliant support.

Amitabh Bachchan has done a cameo in the film and he has portrayed the role of a commentator and when it’s about lending voice to a role Amitabh does it so beautifully that even a minute aspect cannot be questioned. 

R Balki’s direction is sensitive and it feels that this film has totally been evolved straight from the heart. The narration of the subject is top notch. Amit Trivedi has given the music to the film. The film is one of the best Bollywood sports movie that should definitely be given a watch.
